OK fast and loose without a safety net etc. This is my first attempt at a photo montage. I wrote a song today (I always seem to have the muse on a Sunday) to back it and this is the result. When I say wrote a song it is a series of verses with no chorus and they are just a few thoughts on a theme.
Much as I liked the Kyoto Midnight theme I've been using here, Vox now give you the function to personalize your blog. The header photo here is one of my favourite views which is Loch Lomond and Ben Lomond from Duck Bay. This magnificent view is a ten minute drive from my house.
I took the photo on New Years Day 2005.
Not for the first time thanks to Alastair at the Heart Monitor for the inspiration. Also the Helpless Dancer (at the Endless Note) who I first saw using this gadget. These are all my own photos. You can click on a photo to see it enlarged. Pretty neat and if you Click Here you can make your own.
Edit: The pictures are from the Isle of Arran, Brodick Castle, Pladda from Kildonan, Standing Stones at Machrie.
Also the Waverley approaching Helensburgh, Sunset Helensburgh from Colgrain and Ben Lomond/Loch Lomond.
I said a couple of weeks ago I'd do a photo feature on Loch Lomond.
I am priveleged to live a mere ten minutes by car from this splendour.
I simply love the cycle path which runs alongside the Loch and from where I took these photos.
The path is part of a route from Glasgow to Tarbet and at points is newly made. At other points it is in fact the old disused main road (A82)
I enjoy the section between the villages of Luss and Tarbet which is a fairly gentle return journey of around 16 miles. The route passes some fantastic property including the stunning Stuckgowan House.
I've recently persuaded the weans to come with me and when they do we park up at Inverbeg, cycle to Luss and back. A return journey of about five miles which is fine for them.
It was a bit cloudy the day I took this one but the loch is still beautiful in any weather.
