]]>Hot on the heels of the papers reporting that a four year old had been held for housebreaking, I found the following piece. One wonders in the world of heightened political correctness (remember Kenny McAskill making the point that Asians were being unfairly targetted in Airport and railway searches) if police will be obliged to investigate people of all heights, sorry vertical variations and not just those of "limited stature" in the course of their investigations here. Mind you the accomplicies would have to be pretty strong, and presumably taller!
"Thieves are robbing long-distance coaches by sneaking dwarves into the luggage holds in sports bags.
Once inside, they slip out from their hiding places to rifle through the belongings of unsuspecting travellers.
Then they take their loot back to their hiding place and wait to be collected by another gang member when the coach reaches its destination, reports The Sun.
They have stolen thousands of pounds in cash, gems and other valuables in recent months.
Swebus, which ferries thousands of Brits across Sweden, has been among coach firms targeted.
A spokesman said: "We have had reports about several thefts by dwarves on the stretch between Vasteras and Stockholm.
"We're thinking of installing video cameras."
A Stockholm Police spokesman said: "We are looking at our records to identify criminals of limited stature."

He was unable to capture a first team place and was loaned to Stenhousemuir. Good to see Dumbarton signing a player of this calibre and lets hope its the first of many. This album has had a mixed review but readers will be aware of my like for singer/songwriters in the Nick Drake tradition. Some of the lyrics and music here are a bit obvious and the album launch thing looks a tad pretentious. I'm from Helensburgh so I like all that stuff :0)
